Al-Zeer has been pictured with former Labour leader Jeremy CorbynPA

He is named in a German interior ministry file as a “person responsible for Hamas” there and across Europe, The Times reported yesterday.

He was pictured in 2015 with Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas’s political head in Qatar, and in 2008 with the terror group’s then leader Khaled Mashal.

Al-Zeer, who moved to Berlin from London in 2014, is believed to be influential in at least two European Palestinian groups that German and Israeli security agencies have linked to Hamas.

He has denied any association with the terrorists but reportedly declined to respond to queries from The Times.

Labour MP Christian Wakeford last month identified him in Parliament as an alleged Hamas operative.

While still in the UK, Al-Zeer put on several events in Parliament attended by senior Labour politicians including ex-party leader Mr Corbyn.

They were also pictured together as part of a delegation to Lebanon.
