CALLAN RYDZ continued his sensational form as he blitzed Dmitri van den Bergh in round three of the World Darts Championship.

The Riot won 4-0 to knock out the 11th seed at Ally Pally.

Callan Rydz produced another stunning display to beat Van den BerghRex

He has won every set in his three matches so far, also whitewashing Romeo Grbavac and Martin Schindler.

Rydz, 26, was on course for one of the best ever averages in a World Darts Championship, rivalling the legendary Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen.

He finished with an average of 105.31, with Van den Bergh crashing out despite playing well.

But in his interview after the game Rydz admitted he “bottled it” after realising he was on course for a 113 average.

The Sky Sports commentary team was full of superlatives for Rydz, with one saying: “I think that is the best performance he has ever produced.”

Fans were in agreement with one saying: “That is phenomenal!!”

Another added: “Absolutely sensational.”

A third wrote: “What a dominant performance.”

And another commented: “With numbers like that he’s more than a dark horse. Incredible performance.”

Rydz hit eight 180s, three more than his opponent, as well as ten 140s and 24 100s.

He will now face the winner of Ricky Evans vs Robert Owen in the Round of 16.
