The pair both have sterling unbeaten records ahead of the Vegas showdown, with the Irish Walsh three years younger than his American opponent.
Walsh, who most recently beat Elias Espadas, comes into the bout with a record of 14-0-0, fighting twice already in 2025.
El Feroz Vargas holds a better pro record of 17-0-0, scoring 15 wins by KO, most recently beating Gonzalo Gaston Coria by KO in the fourth round.
