MANCHESTER UNITED have landed a huge glamour tie in a simulated Carabao Cup second round draw.
Due to their lack of European football this season – following a 15th place in the Premier League and defeat in the Europa League final to Tottenham – the Red Devils are entering the second round of the Carabao Cup for the first time since 2014.

They are one of 11 top-flight clubs not participating in European competition this season to enter at this stage.
The 23 Round Two matches will take place in the week commencing August 25, while the remaining nine Prem sides – including holders Newcastle – will enter in round three in September.

With a capacity of just 12,600, the newly-promoted Championship sides stadium is a far cry from the 75,000 capacity Old Trafford, though it could no less become a theatre where dreams are made.
Elsewhere, Tom Brady‘s Birmingham will potentially face one of Huddersfield or Leicester if they progress past Sheffield United this evening – with that clash being aired free on ITV.

New Prem outfit Sunderland will host League One Rotherham, while Everton and Wolves will also host third tier rivals in the form of Wigan and Stockport respectively as Leeds host League Two Grimsby.
In the south, Brentford will face Brighton in an all Premier League clash.
West Ham have drawn south-east London rivals Bromley, with the League Two side travelling to the Iron’s London Stadium in a glamour tie for the Ravens.
Fellow south Londoners Millwall host rival Championship club Oxford United in our simulated draw, while Bournemouth take on League One outfit Wycombe.
There is also an all League One match between Wimbledon and Plymouth, while there is also the battle of the Cs between Cardiff and Cambridge.
Competition organisers are due to announce the ball number of each team this morning.
