Carabao Cup TV picks confirmed with Liverpool vs Southampton on free-to-air and Arsenal tie also selected

THE TV selections for the third round of the Carabao Cup have been announced.

The next round follows on from the exits of Manchester United, Leeds United and West Ham from the competition.

GettyLiverpool’s match against Southampton will be on ITV[/caption]

European competing teams such as Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle will also be in action in the next round.

And the Magpies’ clash against Bradford City will be one of the games broadcast on Sky Sports+ on September 24.

Arsenal will be on Sky Sports Football as they take on League One outfit Port Vale.

Port Vale stunned Championship side Birmingham City 1-0 at St Andrew’s in the second round.

The Gunners will make the trip to Vale Park for the match on the same night as Newcastle’s match.

Liverpool, however, will be on free-to-air TV as they welcome Southampton to Anfield.

The Saints beat Norwich City 3-0 in the previous round to earn the trip to the Premier League champions.

The match will also be aired on Sky Sports Football.

Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Crystal Palace have all also entered the tournament.

The Eagles take on Millwall in a South London derby at Selhurst Park on September 16.

That game will be live on Sky Sports+.

The Villans have been handed a tricky tie against Premier League opposition Brentford.

The Bees knocked out Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium 2-0 in the last round.

Forest will travel to Wales to face Swansea City on September 17, which will be shown on Sky Sports Football.

United conquers Grimsby Town will be facing Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on September 16 on Sky Sports+.
