It was a routine run out for most of the Hoops players but Kieran Tierney was subbed off early in the second 45 after a dressing room illness incident.

Manager Rodgers said after the game: “He did well to come out for the second half, he was sick at half time.

“He was throwing up all over the changing room, thankfully I wasn’t in there at the time!

“He’s come out, we’ve given him 15 minutes or so and then took him off but he’s a top player.

“He’s only going to get fitter, stronger and better.”

It’s not yet known what caused the sickness but the left-back is seemingly doing well.

When asked what the problem was, Rodgers replied: “Not sure. Might be a wee bug of some sort, maybe something he’s drank of some sort.

“Thankfully he’s OK now.”

Auston Trusty replaced the 28-year-old shortly after the visitors’ second goal to see out the victory.

That win takes Celtic four points clear of Rangers who took just two points from the opening two league fixtures.

Due to this, bookmakers Paddy Power have ALREADY paid out on bets for the Parkhead team to win the Premiership outright, declaring they’ve ‘seen enough’.

The Irish-based company often take aim at the Gers in social media gimmicks, and fan reaction has been mixed this time.

One commented: “Wee bit later than expected but congrats on the pay out troops.”

Another said: “Took a week longer than expected.”

And a third added: “Paddy Power know the script.”

While a fourth laughed: “Easiest bet you will do every year. Money back before the kids go back to school.”

Another commented: “This is so embarrassing for Rangers,” while one added: “Rangers are terrible, they won’t even get 2nd. Hibs or Hearts to finish behind Celtic.”

And another noted: “Scottish football, just an absolute waste of everyone’s time and money.”
