CENTER Parcs has been ‘evacuated after a security incident’ with staff seen ‘running around panicking’.
Chaos was triggered by a reported “security incident” at the CenterParcs Whinefell Forest resort in Brougham, Cumbria this evening.

Staff were “running about panicking” before an evacuation message was played to visitors over speakers, a witness claimed.
A mass evacuation was carried out amid the reported incident.
It is also understood the electricity went out and emergency lighting was relied on.
The witness who shared the video on X, wrote: “Currently a full evacuation taking place at CenterParcsUK Whinfell Forest due to a ‘security incident’. Staff running about panicking.
“Shortly before an evacuation message was played over the speakers, all the electricity went out and the emergency lighting turned on. Staff then rushed everyone out of the building.
“A staff member has told me ‘it is not a fire’ but ‘a security incident’.”
CenterParcs, Cumbria Police, North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust as well as Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service were contacted for comment.
