A DOG walker has discovered “charred” human remains in woodland, as cops launch an urgent probe.
Police were called after the body of a man was found at Savernake Forest, just outside Marlborough, Wiltshire, on Monday.

The alarm was raised by a horrified dog walker at around 8am.
Wiltshire Police confirmed an urgent investigation was launched after “a body had been found in Savernake Forest.”
A spokesperson added that “enquiries are ongoing to identify the man’s next of kin.”
The force have not revealed how long the remains are believed to have been there.
Members of the public were urged to avoid the area as a cordon was put in place at the scene.
Forensic officers were seen carrying out investigations yesterday.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We are investigating a sudden death after a body was found in Savernake Forest, Marlborough, at around 8am on Monday.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding their death and to identify their next of kin.
“There will be an increased policing presence in the area over the coming days.
“This is being treated as a non-suspicious death but as with all investigations of this nature we are keeping an open mind and following all lines of enquiry.
“We ask the public and media not to speculate about the case.”
