Kudus instead joined the Hammers, enjoying a blistering debut season at London Stadium.
The 24-year-old endured a more difficult second campaign at West Ham, struggling to hit his previous heights.
Despite his down year, Kudus is still attracting interest.
According to the Mail, Chelsea remain keen on the attacker.
They add that Kudus’ contract will possess an £85million release clause during the first 10 days of July.
Whether Chelsea would be willing to offer such a large sum remains to be seen.
The Blues could instead attempt to negotiate a lower fee for the skilful star.
Having opted against making Jadon Sancho‘s loan switch permanent, Chelsea have targeted several attackers already this summer.
