Enzo Maresca’s side had looked more than comfortable around Christmas, even presented a chance to momentarily go top of the Premier League.
However, Chelsea are now 21 points behind Liverpool with just under 10 games to go.
Tottenham are enduring a mixed season in the Premier League, with the focus of Ange Postecoglou’s side now primarily on the Europa League.
The Blues and Spurs have offered many classic matches in the past, their clash at Stamford Bridge to hand Leicester the title in 2016 deemed the “Battle of the Bridge.”
The sides have already played out a thriller at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this season, with Chelsea edging past Postecolgou’s side after two slips from Marc Cucurella gave the hosts an early 2-0 lead.
Chelsea went on to win 4-3 with Cole Palmer scoring two penalties – one of which was an incredible Panenka.
