CHELSEA may not have to wait long to be crowned Premier League and European champions once again, if EA Sports FC 26 is to be believed…
With the new edition of the game now in full swing, SunSport decided to simulate what the next four seasons will look like for the Blues in career mode, and fans will be thrilled with the results.

HOW DID THIS SEASON GO?
The 25/26 campaign has been turbulent so far for Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea, and it was much the same in-game.
Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi did indeed manage to find new clubs, joining Brighton and Bayer Leverkusen, while offers were rejected from Man City for Reece James and Liverpool for Enzo Fernandez.
With the goal being set by the owners to qualify for the Champions League, things weren’t looking too good in January, as Chelsea sat 9th in the table, 12 points away from a top four spot.
The January arrivals of Mike Maignan and Morgan Rogers saw Boehly and Co try to spend their way into the top four, but in the summer it was a disappointing season.
A quarter-final Champions League exit at the hands of eventual winners Manchester City was tough to take, while a 7th placed league finish was enough for a Europa League spot the next season.
The FA Cup semi-final was lost to Newcastle United at the hands of Yoanne Wissa, and the Blues exited the Carabao Cup to Birmingham City.
Enzo Maresca’s job was hanging by a thread.

SEASON TWO (26/27):
It was a busy summer at Chelsea once more, with Wesley Fofana being sold to Man Utd and Tyrique George moving to Juventus.
The Red Devils also took promising keeper Mike Penders on a two-year loan deal.
The biggest summer move was one for a big-name striker coming to Stamford Bridge… Victor Osimhen.
A swap deal with Galatasaray involving Nicolas Jackson saw the Nigerian forward come in as Chelsea’s number nine.
It was a quiet January with Maresca’s side sitting 4th, but the end of the season bought more disappointment.
While Osimhen was undoubtedly a success, with 20 goals in his first Prem season, Chelsea finished 5th and lost the Europa League final to SPURS.
There was some silver lining at least, with an FA Cup final win over Newcastle to avenge defeat the previous season and bag some silverware.

SEASON THREE, TREBLE WINNERS (27/28):
It seems Chelsea’s long-term plan pays off after all…
After being rejected by Alessandro Bastoni, the Blues turned to Barcelona’s Leny Yoro in their bid for a new starting centre-half.
A Community Shield victory over Man City set the tone for an almighty start to the season, seeing Maresca and Co sit 2nd in the table come January 2028.
And this time the board encouraged some big name signings to propel the boss to glory.
January arrivals included William Saliba for £120m, as well as the recouping of Tino Livramento, to replace Reece James who had decided to join Manchester United on the expiry of his contract.
An incredible end to the season from Cole Palmer and Co saw the ice-cold finisher end on 21 goals.
That led the Blues to a final-day title showdown with Man City, which saw Maresca’s men beaten 3-2.
However, that result was enough to see them edge out City by ONE goal difference and be crowned champions.
A title then became a Treble as Chelsea won the FA Cup for a second season running and beat Inter Milan in the Europa League final, while the women’s team won the Champions League.

SEASON FOUR, UCL RETURN (28/29):
After a treble winning season, it was at last time for Chelsea to return to the Champions League, but how would they fare?
The sale of Estevao had fans up in arms, but he hadn’t developed as expected and BlueCo decided to raise funds to bring in Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala – now one of the world’s best players.
The £200m outlay to sign Musiala was questioned, but after playing a starring role in Community Shield and a Super Cup win over Arsenal, fans took to him with ease.

Winning the Premier League title again this time was a breeze, with Palmer, Osimhen, Musiala and Jamie Gittens combining to create the best attack in Europe.
Osimhen was the golden boot winner, with Gittens proving a smart signing and bagging 21 league goals.
It was in Europe though where Palmer shone brightest, with 11 goals in 15 appearances, leading Chelsea to a third Champions League trophy after beating Juventus 2-1 in the final.
That led Palmer to a Ballon d’Or award in 2029, achieving his individual destiny at last.
Barcelona were now circling Enzo Maresca as their new coach, with the Italian becoming a Chelsea legend and leading the BlueCo revolution to be an undoubted success.
