Davis was famous for her wholesome videos where she delighted viewers with her recipes and dancing.
The internet star died on January 1 at the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey, according to her daughter Hannah Mariko Shofet.
Her daughter also confirmed that Davis had battled esophageal cancer before she passed away.
She had been diagnosed with throat cancer in 2019 and it developed into esophageal cancer in 2021.
Davis’ account had been kept active after her death as videos were posted after January 1.
Her family revealed that Davis had asked for content that had been filmed and edited before her death to go up.
The TikToker’s youngest son, Tim Davis, started the channel with his mother during the pandemic.
He shared that the inspiration for the account and videos had come from his mother who had asked him to upload the clips around 10 years ago.
“My mom was like my partner in crime,” Tim said to The New York Times.
Tim also shared that the popular TikTok account will become inactive after the last video with her mother is uploaded.
Davis had a successful career in telecommunications before she entered the world of TikTok.
The internet star graduated from MIT in 1977 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and then earned a master’s in business administration and public health from Colombia.
“She had this whole chapter as a groundbreaking female engineer, and she was very proud of that,” her daughter Hannah said, according to the MailOnline.
Davis had four children Tim, Hannah, Becky Steinberg, and professional soccer player Sean Davis.
Sean, who plays for Nashville Soccer Club, said his mom was his first coach and they traveled the world together.
“I just think her final chapter was exactly how she would have wanted it to be written,” he said.
The TikTok sensation’s fans shared their heartache following the news and the impact she had on them, on Davis’ videos.
“She had such a light,” one fan wrote.
