COPS are investigating the first claims of sexual assault by Mohamed Fayed made by a man.

The dad, now in his 50s, has told officers that the Harrods boss groped him during a photo shoot in a central London office in the mid-1990s.

He is now part of a huge inquiry being conducted by the Met’s Complex Investigation Team.

More than 100 women have accused the late Egyptian billionaire of rape and sexual assault since a TV documentary last year exposed him as a serial abuser.

Detectives are also reviewing 50,000 pages of evidence from previous inquiries which failed to bring charges when he was alive.

The latest victim says Fayed touched him while performing a sex act on himself.

Fayed died in 2023 aged 94.

More than five of his former associates are under investigation amid claims they may have enabled him to target women and girls between 1977 and 2014.

A spokesperson for the Met said: “Our review of allegations relating to Mohamed Al Fayed remains ongoing.

“We’re working with partners across the criminal justice system to ensure that victim-survivors are at the heart of our response, with a greater focus on suspects and their offending.

“We are committed to openly sharing our findings as soon as we are able to and where this won’t jeopardise criminal or other proceedings.”
