Cops launch desperate appeal to find girl, 15, missing for 3 days as they grow ‘increasingly concerned for her welfare’

POLICE have launched a desperate appeal to help find a teenager who has been missing for three days.

Layla Anderson, 15, was last spotted at around 11.15pm on Tuesday in the Scott Street area of Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne and Wear.

Officers and her family are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately.

Northumbria Police said in a statement: “Layla Anderson, 15, was last seen at about 11.15pm on Tuesday in the Scott Street area of Houghton-le-Spring.

“We are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.”

The force added: “Layla is described as a white female, about 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build, with long black hair and a scar on her forehead.”

“She was last seen wearing black flared trousers and a black padded jacket.

“Anyone with information on Layla’s whereabouts is asked to contact us immediately.”
