Bjornsson, 36, is best known for his role as the ‘Mountain’ in the fantasy drama TV series.

But his huge physique is not just for acting, but helps him star on the deadlifting circuit.

The Icelandic strongman has set a new record for deadlifting as he broke his own record.

He lifted a stunning 510KG at the Mutant World Deadlift Championship in Birmingham.

Bjornsson – also known as Thor – made the lift in front of a packed crowd at the Utilita Arena and celebrated with his team.

The 6ft 9in behemoth shared a video of the moment on his Instagram account for his 4.4million followers.

He added to the post a caption that he believes he could have gone for MORE weight.

He wrote: “Sick view of my 510kg / 1124lbs deadlift world record! Crazy how easy it felt.

Fans were left stunned by the monumental moment as they flooded the comment section.

One posted: “Still can’t believe how a human being is able to make that weight fly like that.”

A second commented: “Strongest man to ever live.”

A third wrote: “There was more in the tank that’s for sure.”

A fourth said: “Only The Mountain can say easy lift for 510kg.”

Another added: “Unbelievable.”

Rival Eddie Hall, who Thor defeated in a boxing grudge match in 2022, was the first man to deadlift 500kg in 2016.

But Thor set a new record at 501kg in 2020 before lifting 505kg in July.

He weighs a crazy 31.4 STONE and eats up to 10,000 calories per DAY, barely broke a sweat as he made the lift look easy.
