GERWYN PRICE has lost more than two stone in weight this year – though he may scoff a McDonald’s meal if he retains the Australian Darts Masters.
The Welshman, 40, cuts a much slimmer figure these days after shedding the pounds over the past eight months.

The Iceman, a father of two, decided to go on a drastic health kick and is feeling the benefits on the oche.
Price, a former rugby league hooker, says his dramatic body transformation is here to stay and the result of fitness and eating healthier food.
Though he claims he played “rubbish” in patches during a 6-3 win over erratic Australian Joe Comito, the world No.6 is hoping to defend this World Series of Darts event in Wollongong.
He said: “I think I have lost between 13-15kgs. About two stone.
“It is through dieting, getting back in the gym, looking after myself.
“I don’t think it affects me physically when I’m throwing but mentally it definitely helps. I feel comfortable.
“I’m in some smaller clothes. I feel better in myself. Mentally it’s a lot better.
“I tried to squeeze into a large size a little bit too soon but after a month or two, I was able to fit into it. It was alright then.

“Is this a long-term approach? I am not sure. I have started craving McDonald’s now and again.
“I was having one at 6.30am. So, give it another month, if I keep doing that, it will be back on!”
Price – who smashed Luke Littler 8-1 in the 2024 final Down Under – wore an Aussie gold-coloured shirt to try and win over the home fans.
It has been a difficult trip for him to the other side of the world and he is not yet operating on the correct time zone.
The former world champion said: “The sleeping patterns ain’t what I want it to be at the minute.
“I was up really early today. Even in the practice room, I didn’t really feel it. It’s difficult to shrug off the jetlag.
“I’m still stuck on UK time. I’m sleeping all day and awake all night.
“If I stay awake quite late tonight then the jetlag will be gone, which will be good. I need a good night’s sleep ahead of Saturday.
“I wear a different shirt whenever I go, in the Premier League and World Series of Darts events. I choose the colours. I picked this one.
“Looking back to 2024, since I have had my Tour Card that was probably the worst season I’ve had. I was absolute rubbish.
“So, The final of the Australian Darts Masters was a good game. I watched it back on the TV a couple of times in the practice room.
“I thought to myself, I have dropped a couple of pounds since then, haven’t I?”
