DARTS star Dom Taylor is free to return to the oche for the Winmau World Masters after serving just a one month ban for failing a drug test.
Taylor was forced to pull out of the Players Championship Finals in November after failing a drugs test on the eve of the tournament.
Dom Taylor is free to return to darts after a one-month ban for a failed drug test
The highly-rated thrower was due to face off against former world champion Michael Smith at the time.
Taylor returned a positive sample for a banned substance and was subject to a full hearing from the Darts Regulatory Authority (DRA).
The 26-year-old admitted his breaches of the anti-doping rules at the hearing.
Taylor was initially handed a two-year ban for his first offence, but has since seen that reduced to just one month.
The reduction in ineligibility comes after Taylor was able to prove that the substance was not performance enhancing and was taken outside of competition – taking his punishment down to three months.
A further reduction down to one month was sanctioned after Taylor committed to completing a three-month Substance of Abuse treatment program approved by UKAD.
A statement from the DRA read: “In the circumstances, the Committee determined that Mr Taylor will be subject to a one-month ban.
“This is conditional on his completion of an appropriate UKAD approved treatment program.

“Should Mr Taylor not complete this course within the next four months, then the ban shall be extended by an additional two months.
“Mr Taylor should also be liable for the costs of these proceedings”
Taylor can now return to action after serving his one-month ban and is eligible to take part in the World Masters this week.
The tournament gets underway this Thursday in Milton Keynes and Taylor has been confirmed by the PDC as a entrant for the second round of the Preliminary Rounds Entries.
