The midfielder penned an 18-month contract with Cesc Fabregas‘ side, but will now leave with immediate effect despite having a year left on his deal.
That’s according to The Athletic, who claim Dele has failed to settle under Fabregas.
The former Tottenham star and 37-time England international made just one appearance for the Como during his short stint.
That cameo lasted only 10 minutes as he was shown a red card for a dangerous challenge on Ruben Loftus-Cheek during a 2-1 defeat to AC Milan in March.
There has been rumours that Dele is considering retiring following his Como exit, but The Athletic claim that is not true and he would like to continue his playing career.
Dele has made just 30 professional appearances since the start of 2022, playing for Everton, Spurs and Turkish club Besiktas in that time.
While he previously revealed in a brave and heartbreaking interview that he became addicted to sleeping pills following his nightmare stint in Turkey – later taking the decision to check himself into a rehab facility.
He missed the entirety of the 2023/24 campaign, which he spent at Everton, having struggled with a string of different injuries.

No concrete links to new clubs have emerged for Dele yet, but former Premier League manager Alan Pardew has suggested he would like to see him make a shock switch to Scottish giants Rangers.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, Pardew said: “His fall from grace has been unusual – a player of that quality, playing for England, Champions League final etc., and now can’t seem to get a contract at Como.
“I hope he does [revive his career], he’s a player that you don’t want to lose. Let’s hope that there’s life for him at Rangers.
“If you look at the history of players that have fallen from grace, it’s very rare that they come back and resurface.”
