Desperate search for missing girl, 13, who vanished at start of school day as cops urge witnesses to call 999

COPS have launched a desperate search for a 13-year-old girl who vanished at the start of a school day.

Shanie Bennett went missing from the Corkwell Street area of Chatham, Kent, at 8.30am today.

The schoolgirl was wearing a red and black striped t-shirt and beige jogging bottoms.

The teenager is described as white, 5ft 2ins, with straight black hair.

Kent Police added that she had brown eyes and is of a slim build.

The force added: “Have you seen 13-year-old Shanie Bennett?

“If you have please call Kent Police urgently on 999 quoting reference 12-0294.”
