TRIBUTES have poured in for a “loving and caring” 15-year-old boy who died after a horror crash that left six others in hospital.
Lewis Campbell tragically passed away after the two-car smash in New Cumnock, East Ayrshire, yesterday evening.

The 15-year-old was a passenger in a Peugeot 208
Emergency crews raced to the scene on Boig Road at around 6pm after the alarm was raised.
Lewis, from Cumnock, was the passenger of a Peugeot 208 when it was involved in the crash.
He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The 18-year-old male driver of a Peugeot and passengers, an 18-year-old woman and 19-year-old man, were taken to the University Hospital Crosshouse in Kilmarnock.
A 54-year-old woman, a 13-year-old female and a 15-year-old male, who were in the other car, a Nissan Qashqai, were also taken to the same hospital.
It is the second tragedy to hit the community after tragic nine-year-old schoolgirl Naomi Ferrans was knocked off her bike and killed by a tractor in the town just three weeks ago.
After officers confirmed his death, heartbroken loved ones took to social media to pay tribute to Lewis, who was described as a “loving and caring boy”.
His devastated girlfriend’s wrote online: “RIP Lewis. You’ll be missed tons. I love you loads.”
Her mum later added: “I can only imagine the pain his mum is in.
“I’m sending all my love to his friends and family, rest easy Lewis son.
“Please everyone hold your loved ones tight and tell them you love them.
“Lewis will be looking down smiling, everyone needs to live on for him.”
An old neighbour added: “He was some boy, but such a loving and caring little boy. RIP.”
A friend wrote: “My heart is broken. My heart goes out to his mum and sisters, many a memories we had wee man.
“Forever 15 rest easy big man”.
Friends have also taken to social media to invite the community to come to a balloon release to honour Lewis’ memory.
A friend posted: “With the sad news of our handsome Lewis, we will be doing a balloon release next Saturday the 21st of October at the flush at 1pm in Barshare.
“All friends and family are welcome to attend, just a way for his bros and gals to say goodbye.
“Forever 15 Lewis”.
It comes as the town continues to mourn the death of Naomi, who was killed less than a five-minute drive away at the town’s Castle Place on September 18.
One local said: “This is horrific, the town rocked by another fatality.
“Thoughts and prayers to this poor boy’s family”.
Another added: “Heartfelt condolences to the family, and the community rocked by another tragedy.”
Cops are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Road Policing Inspector Craig Beaver said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Lewis at this very difficult time.
“Officers will continue to offer support as our enquiries continue into the circumstances of the crash.
“To allow us to establish exactly what happened, I’m appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
“Perhaps you were on the road and saw the cars prior to the crash?
“Do you have dashcam footage of the area around the time?”
