Kimmel referred to Kirk’s assassination and accused MAGA supporters of trying to score political points.
“The MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” he said.
“In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.”
Kirk was assassinated while speaking to students at Utah Valley University.
Network bosses slammed the brakes on the show – hours before it was set to air.
Fans had started to wait outside the El Capitan Center in Los Angeles.

It ensures communication laws are being followed.
Brendan Carr, the FCC chair, was left appalled by Kimmel’s comments.
“There’s calls for Kimmel to be fired, ” he said.
“I think you could certainly see a path forward for suspension over this.”
In an interview with Fox News titan Sean Hannity, Carr described ABC’s move as “unprecedented.”
“This is an important turning point,” he added.
