According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Van de Beek is in Franfurt completing his medical tests ahead of a loan move.
The structure of the deal is understood to be a straight loan with no obligation to buy.
If Frankfurt do wish to make the transfer a permanent one, the fee would be £9.5million plus £3.5m in add-ons.
