DOCTOR Who star Noel Clarke was arrested over an allegation of voyeurism, we can reveal.

The 49-year-old, who lost a £6million libel case over sex predator claims, was held on Thursday by police who swooped on his family home.

But officers did not go public with the reason for the arrest and search of Clarke’s property, which took at least five hours.

They took away boxes and bags containing laptops and electronic equipment during the raid on the married father of four’s apartment in Kensington, West London.

Clarke, best known for playing Mickey Smith in Doctor Who between 2005 and 2010, was held for at least eight hours before being released on bail.

We can reveal his arrest was over an allegation of voyeurism against a woman in her 20s dating back to February 2013.

It forms part of a wider Met Police investigation into Clarke, stemming from his failed libel action against The Guardian.

The offence of voyeurism involves getting sexual gratification from watching or recording another person in a private act — such as being undressed or having sex — without their consent.

Clarke, who also directed the Kidulthood, Adulthood and Brotherhood series of films, was accused by The Guardian of abusing his position to sexually harass more than 20 women.

He protested his innocence but lost a six-week libel case, with the judge saying she found him an unreliable witness.

Clarke, who says the allegations have destroyed his career, has been told to pay towards The Guardian’s £6million legal costs, with the first £3million due soon.
