A DRUGGIE mum whose ten-week-old baby died after she exposed her to cocaine has dodged a jail term.
Shereen Mains, 36, subjected daughter Darcy to “unnecessary suffering or injury” by taking the Class A drug while the tot was present.

Heartless Mains posted clips on Snapchat shortly after Darcy’s death

A jury at Greenock Sheriff Court previously found that the mum had “exposed her baby to cocaine, whereby she ingested” the Class A narcotic in September 2019.
The feckless scumbag, from Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire was also convicted of possessing cannabis and phenazepam, a powerful benzodiazepine.
Sheriff Anthony McGeehan could have sent the mum to jail but gave her unpaid work, an electronic tag and supervision as a direct alternative to custody.
Darcy’s dad Terry McCulloch, 43, stormed out of the court after a bungle by staff meant he was given the wrong time for sentencing and missed the hearing.
He’d previously labelled Mains ‘scum’ after revealing she had told him of Darcy’s death in a text that read ‘this wean’s deid.’
He said: “I think she should have got some sort of custodial sentence.
“She never leaves the house so putting her on a tag is pointless and no punishment at all.
“It was ridiculous that I missed it. The way the justice system has treated me has been disgraceful – it’s like I didn’t matter.”
The shocked dad raced to his child’s side and found a next door neighbour nurse giving the infant CPR as Mains looked on.
But she could not be saved and cops later found traces of coke on the infant’s feeding bottles.
Mains also took the narcotic around her.
Recalling staring at his phone alert in horror, Terry said: “The text message read, ‘the wean’s deid.’
“That was it. I got up to the house within three minutes.
“There was Shereen and the nurse neighbour who was patting Darcy’s back. She told me not to come in. She destroyed Darcy. She’s scum.”
Darcy was later pronounced dead at Inverclyde Royal Hospital on September 8, 2019.
But Terry told how Mains continued to spend time on Facebook and Snapchat in the hours after the baby had passed away.
Mis-spelt posts included a picture of Darcy, captioned: “RIP Darcey Mains. Heaven has gained another angel.”
Disgusted Terry insisted: “All she lives for is getting likes on social media. She’s a desperate liar.
“Four hours after Darcy died, she was posting about it on Snapchat.
Who does that?
“Darcy has suffered at her hands for the whole ten weeks of her life.”
We told how feeding bottles were taken from Mains’ flat for analysis.
Two from a kitchen worktop and two found in the bedroom were positive for cocaine.
Mum-of-five Mains also had cannabis and powerful sedatives phenazepam and benzodiazepine in her drug den home.
Mains, of Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire, was found guilty by a jury of subjecting little Darcy to “unnecessary suffering or injury”.
She was sentenced to a community payback order comprising three years supervision, a three year drug treatment requirement and 200 hours unpaid work to be completed within 12 months.
She was also put on an electronic tag to keep her in her home between 7pm and 7am for six months.
Darcy is buried in Knocknairshill Cemetery, Greenock. An inscription on the headstone reads: “Beloved daughter of Shereen. I’ll never get to hear you laugh and giggle or see your little toes wiggle.”
