The chaos comes as many arrive back from their Bank Holiday breaks on Easter Monday.

Trains from London Paddington to Reading trains have been cancelled.

There are also currently no services running from Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads.

Services from Reading to Newbury and Basingstoke services have also been axed.

Plymouth-bound passengers travelling via Taunton from Paddington are stuck.

Hereford trips from Paddington via Oxford and Cardiff Central trains from Paddington via Bristol Parkway are also not running.

Meanwhile, services between Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Central are facing alterations.

“Train services between London Paddington and Reading may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

“Disruption is expected until 18:00.”

Those who arrive at their destination 15 minutes or more later than planned can claim compensation here.
