Hose, who plays for the Trent Rockets, slipped as he tried to make a catch.

He was left on the floor in agony with fans saying it was “one of the most terrible injuries I’ve seen on a cricket field”.

Medics rushed over to him and a screen was held up while he received treatment.

After a delay of ten minutes, Hose was carried off and taken to hospital.

The star has now used social media to give an update on his injury.

He posted a snap of his ankle wrapped in a bulky cast as he watched Match of the Day.

Hose said: “Quick message to say I appreciate each and everyone of you who have reached out.

“It’s going to be a long old ride, but I couldn’t ask for more amazing people around me. Big love.”
