ERIK TEN HAG is now just 6/4 to leave Manchester United before CHRISTMAS.

Bookmakers Betfair slashed the odds of the Dutchman leaving his Old Trafford post after the latest horror show in the defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League – making it FIVE defeats in their last seven games.

That home loss comes after a tough time as he deals with off field and on field issues at the club.

He recently called on the players to step up and turn their early season fortunes around after a home defeat to Brighton.

Following the defeat to Bayern, they won two on the bounce at Burnley and in the cup against Crystal Palace.

But they’ve lost their last two since, which has helped make it their worst start EVER in the Premier League.

And they’re now as big as 5/1 to finish in the top four – behind the likes of Aston Villa and Brighton to do so.

That’s forced Betfair to act and slash the odds of Ten Hag quitting this year, while also revealing their list of most likely replacements.

Potential Man Utd replacements

Should Erik Ten Hag leave

Zinedine Zidane: 4/1
Julian Nagelsmann: 5/1
Roberto De Zerbi: 15/2
Graham Potter: 10/1
Michael Carrick: 12/1
Antonio Conte, Julen Lopetegui, Gareth Southgate: 16/1

Betfair: Top four finish 2023/24

Arsenal: 1/4
Liverpool: 1/3
Tottenham: EVS
Newcastle: 7/5
Brighton: 23/10
Aston Villa: 16/5

And previous favourite for the job, Zinedine Zidane leads the betting as the 4/1 market leader to replace him.

He’s been out of the management game since leaving Real Madrid for a second time at the end of the 20/21 campaign.

Julian Nagelsmann (5/1) is next with Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi third favourite (15/2).

Graham Potter (10/1) and Club legend Michael Carrick (12/1) and are two others potentially in contention.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Erik ten Hag is 6/4 to leave Man United by Christmas following his side’s 3-2 loss to Galatasaray on Tuesday.

“The Red Devils’ defeat is the latest of a number of casualties at the club and Ten Hag’s men are 5/1 outsiders to secure a top four finish. The Dutchman is also 9/2 to be the next Premier League manager to leave.

“Zinedine Zidane is the 4/1 favourite to become Ten Hag’s successor, with Julian Nagelsmann 5/1, Roberto De Zerbi 15/2 and Graham Potter 10/1 .”
