AN EROTIC author has been arrested after allegedly writing a twisted book about a man who sexually fantasises about a three-year-old child.

Daddy’s Little Toy – written by Christian charity employee Lauren Tesolin-Mastrosa, pen name Tori Woods – sparked online fury after readers claimed it contained child abuse material.

The fictional book’s cover features colourful children’s building blocks spelling out the story’s title in front of an inviting pink background.

Horrified readers who had early access to the book were left disgusted after allegedly reading the story about a now 18-year-old girl and her father’s friend who had desired her since she was three.

The Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation received complaints about the book and this led to New South Wales Police arresting her on Friday.

Police said in a statement: “About 12.30pm detectives attended a home on Penn Street, Quakers Hill, and arrested a 33-year-old woman before being taken to Riverstone Police Station.”

“At the home, police executed a search warrant, seizing several hard copies of the novel to be forensically examined.”

Tesolin-Mastrosa, who works in marketing for BaptistCare, was charged with possessing child abuse material, disseminating child abuse material, and producing child abuse material.

The 33-year-old author was granted conditional bail and will appear in court on March 31.

A BaptistCare spokeswoman said the organisation would not comment on individual employees’ circumstances.

The spokesperson said: “We can confirm that we received complaints regarding an unnamed employee.

“As a result of these complaints, the employee was stood down effective March 20 while we undertake an internal investigation.

“BaptistCare takes matters of ethical conduct seriously. Our focus remains on upholding the values and integrity of our organisation.”

After furious backlash but prior to her arrest, Tesolin-Mastrosa took to social media to defend her work from complaints which she described as a “big misunderstanding”.

She claimed: “DLT is definitely not promoting or inciting anything ever to do with (child sexual abuse) or paedophilia.

“What is being said is grossly disturbing and breaks my heart as well as makes me sick.”

Tesolin-Mastrosa later took down her social media accounts, and her book was also removed from Amazon and GoodReads.

Front cover designer Georgia Stove who worked with the author on Daddy’s Little Toy said she had since received death threats.

The artist said in a statement: “I have cut ties with Tori Woods, effective immediately.”

She added that she had no knowledge of what the story was about when she designed the cover.

The designer continued: “All I had known about the book was the blurb which read ‘barely legal’ and in my mind I truly thought that was okay,’ she said.”

“I am here to answer any questions you may have.

“Just please stop with the threats over something I had no say in.”
