THE European Darts Trophy returns to Gottingen THIS WEEK after a seven-year absence.
Michael van Gerwen will finally get the chance to defend the title he claimed way back in 2018.

Last time out, Mighty Mike beat James Wade 8-3 in the huge final to claim a third consecutive triumph in the competition.
Fast forward to the present day, Van Gerwen has struggled to find form since losing to Luke Littler in the World Championship final at the beginning of January.
But MVG and the 47 other stars competing in Gottingen will fancy their chances this week, as the teenage sensation did not register to play in the European Darts Trophy this year.
