A member of the public said on social media: “Security incident at Euston Station.

“London Euston station evacuated. Police moved everyone away. Fire service now here. Anyone know what’s happening?” said a third.
Someone else penned on social media: “Train staff tell me evacuation due to suspicious package police are investigating. If so not unusual on a day when everyone is very much on alert.”
A British Transport Police spokesperson said in an update: “Officers were called at around 2.45pm today to reports of a suspicious item at Euston railway station.
“A cordon was put it place and the station evacuated as a precaution. The item has since been assessed as non-suspicious and the incident stood down.”
National Rail spokesperson said: “Whilst service recovers, trains running to and from London Euston may be cancelled or delayed by up to 35 minutes.”
Euston is a major central London railway and underground in the borough of Camden.
