Champions Manchester City have suffered a staggering THREE losses on the bounce, the most-recent of which came against Arsenal on Sunday.
Manchester United are toiling in tenth place, although they picked up a dramatic, morale-boosting comeback victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The international break has given Opta’s finest time to predict how the season will pan out.
And their number crunching has provided some interesting results.
Despite their early blip, City have an 80 per cent chance of being top of the pile come the end of the season.
Current table-toppers Tottenham only have a 1.5 per cent chance of winning the league, while second-placed Arsenal have a 5.4 per cent chance.
Based on their respective forms so far this campaign, Liverpool and Newcastle have been given 12.2 and 0.4 per cent chances of winning the league.
Super-spenders Chelsea have been given a 0.1 chance of finishing third – and just 0.5 per cent shot of landing a top-four spot.

Man Utd, meanwhile, have been given 0.2, 1 and 2.6 per cent chances of finishing in second, third and fourth place.
The numbers make for grim reading for relegation battlers Bournemouth, Burnley, Luton and Sheffield United.
The quartet have, respectively, been given 7.8, 15, 11.6 and 4.8 per cent chances of beating the drop.
The Blades, currently, have a staggering 43.4 per cent chance of finishing rock bottom of the table.
The numbers don’t make good reading for Everton either, with the Toffees being given an 18.6 per cent chance of Prem survival.
But if you’re a Crystal Palace fan, it makes for a very good read.
The Eagles have a mere 0.2 per cent chance of dropping into The Championship, which will no doubt thrill the Selhurst Park faithful – even with their desperately slim shot at breaking into the European places.
The Premier League resumes action a week on Saturday, with a 12:30pm Merseyside derby between bitter rivals Liverpool and Everton kicking off the ninth round of matches.
