FANS have been left stunned by the size of Newcastle’s main striker target, Nick Woltemade.

The Magpies reached a £69million deal with Stuttgart for Woltemade this week after missing out on the likes of Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko.

Fans were stunned to see the height difference between 6ft 6in Woltemade and Harvey Elliott

They are now in the final stages of negotiations, with personal terms already agreed.

With the striker now set to complete his move to St James’ Park, fans have noticed one thing in particular.

Woltemade stands at 6ft 6in, making him one of the tallest players in Europe.

A video of the 23-year-old hugging Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott re-emerged on social media in the last few days.

Fans were quick to comment on the height difference, with one person writing: “The height difference is killing me Nick Woltemade is one tall guy.”

Another added: “That is insane how tall he actually is.”

A Newcastle supporter joked: “How exactly is any team supposed to defend set pieces against him and Dan Burn?”

While another said: “This Woltemade brother is two meters tall, moves like Jamal Musiala in tight spaces and scores like Erling Haaland. Tears man. What a player.”

Woltemade scored 12 goals and provided two assists in 28 Bundesliga games last season.

Bayern Munich viewed him as the heir to Harry Kane and reportedly had three offers knocked back this window.

Man Utd were also interested in Woltemade this summer – as exclusively revealed by SunSport – but the Red Devils ultimately opted for fellow Bundesliga star Sesko.

The striker’s imminent arrival could be the catalyst for Alexander Isak joining Liverpool before next week’s deadline.

SunSport revealed last week that Liverpool chiefs had sanctioned a British record £130million move for the Swede – and they are confident that will be enough to complete a deal.
