FC Copenhagen vs Chelsea preview
Chelsea will look to maintain their 100% record in the Europa Conference League against FC Copenhagen at the Parken Stadium on Thursday.
The Blues have made extremely light work of the competition to this point, winning all six of their games in the league phase – scoring a whopping 26 goals and conceding just five.
Enzo Maresca’s side are 8/11 odds-on favourites to clinch the title in May’s final in Poland with Real Betis and Fiorentina considered their only serious competition in the betting markets.
Chelsea have fielded several fringe and youth players for this tournament to this point, but FC Copenhagen are a step up in class.
The Blues will likely field a stronger XI this week, especially following a run of three defeats in their last four games in all competitions.
Maresca’s side managed to end that three-game winless run by thumping a sorry Southampton 4-0 at Stamford Bridge.
But they’ll need to continue that momentum away from home, where they’ve failed to win any of their last SEVEN games (L5, D2).
As for the hosts FC Copenhagen, their league phase was pretty underwhelming with just two victories in their six matches – finishing in 18th position.
However, they did overcame Bundesliga outfit Heidenheim 4-3 on aggregate in their round of 16 playoff tie and have lost just one of their last 11 on home turf.

It feels more than likely that FC Copenhagen will get themselves on the scoresheet on Thursday.
As mentioned, Chelsea’s away run of five defeats and two draws isn’t hugely inspiring, while they’ve recorded just ONE clean sheet in their last ten matches away from Stamford Bridge.
