But since taking up a touchline role as manager of Atletico Madrid’s U19s, Torres has stunned fans with his new-look physique.

The ace piled on pounds of muscle by lifting heavy weights and gorging on protein.

And Torres gave supporters another glimpse of his bulging biceps while advertising a new car.

The Champions League, Euros and two-time World Cup winner flexed for the camera while promoting the new SsangYong Torres model.

A glitzy video showed Torres wearing a tight string vest while working up a sweat with the car in the background.

The South Korean-made electric vehicle costs around £30,000 and is set to go on sale in the UK by the end of the year.

Torres said: “The new SsangYong TORRES has come to compete my name. And the fact that there’s only one Torres, we’ll see…”
