Thomas “Ed” Jones, 43, was dismissed over April’s fire engine prang, despite claims it posed no threat to anyone and resulted in no injuries.

But whistleblowers said Mr Jones was the target of a grudge by bullying senior officers.
Colleagues at Hereford and Worcester Fire Service rallied round the dad-of-three, pointing to his string of commendations.
A fundraiser to help his family in the run-up to Christmas raised nearly £5,000 in two days.
One person who commented on the funding page, using the name Station Cat, added: “HWFRS must be going for the record of most disgruntled employees in 2023.
“I hope the Fire Authority pays attention to the bully tactics of senior managers”
Mr Jones said: “I am completely overwhelmed by the response and the messages of solidarity.”
His appeal against dismissal is due to be heard this week.
The fire service said it rejected the claims made against it.
