“Phil Dowd said after that he should’ve sent Vidic off. I’d have a big trophy in my office.”

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp argued this week that his side should be allowed to replay their controversial loss to Tottenham.
The Reds had a goal wrongly disallowed for offside after a mistake by the VAR team last weekend.
However, his calls have opened a debate on which other matches from the past should be played again.
Agbonlahor has now argued his case for the 2010 League Cup final, which his Villa side lost to United.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he explained: “Villa would have won the League Cup in 2010, [Nemanja] Vidic should’ve been sent off and Phil Dowd said many times afterwards I should’ve sent him off.
“We scored a penalty, Vidic gets sent off, 10 men, we beat Manchester United. I have a big trophy.”
Despite giving away the penalty, Vidic avoided a red card, with United equalising just minutes later.
The Red Devils then went on to win the match 2-1 thanks to Wayne Rooney‘s second half goal.

Agbonlahor was unable to avenge the loss, ending his career without winning a major trophy, having also lost the 2015 FA Cup final with Villa.
The striker retired in 2018 aged 31 after scoring 86 goals in 391 appearances for his boyhood club.
He also won three caps for England after making his debut under Fabio Capello in 2008.
