FORMER TOTTENHAM striker Fernando Llorente has urged Juventus to make a swoop on his old club for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The 38-year-old Spaniard scored 23 goals in 66 Serie A appearances for the Turin giants between 2013 and 2015.

He won Serie A in each of his campaigns with the Old Lady and was part of the side alongside the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba that reached the Champions League final.
He would later go on to play in the Premier League when signing for Swansea City in 2016 and he rifled home 15 goals for them during his one and only campaign there.
That led to a £12m move to Tottenham, but he failed to replicate his previous form and only scored twice in the top-flight before he was flogged to Napoli in 2019.
However, it seems that Llorente still casts a regular eye over his old clubs and he believes that one Spurs player in particular would be the perfect signing for Juventus.
Both Nicolo Fagioli and Pogba’s suspensions have left the Italian giants depleted in the middle of the park and looking for reinforcements.
They have been linked with a January swoop for 28-year-old Danish international Hojbjerg.
And Llorente gave that a big thumbs up as he told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “I faced him in the Premier League.
“He is a leader, a captain and is what Juventus need to start a new successful era.”

Hojbjerg, who joined Tottenham from Southampton in 2020, was set to go to Atletico Madrid this summer after Spurs accepted a £30m bid.
But the deal collapsed after he was unable to agree personal terms with the Spaniards.
New boss Ange Postecoglou has kept him in his squad this term, but the ace has been forced to largely play back up with his appearances restricted to being from the bench.
Meanwhile, Llorente also spoke about the recent betting scandal that has led to Juventus’ Fagioli receiving a seven-month ban.
He said: “It is sad. Both the scandal and Fagioli’s suspension.
“Footballers do a lot of meetings where they are warned that betting on football is not permitted. It takes so little to ruin your career.”
