And the highlight of her career came in 2014 when she reached the final of Wimbledon, losing to Petra Kvitova in straight sets.

Bouchard also made it to two Grand Slam semi-finals before stepping away from top-level tennis due to injuries.

She has since entered the world of modelling.

And now Bouchard also dabbles in popular hipster sport pickleball.

The mini-version of tennis has enjoyed a comeback in recent years.

Many play it recreationally as a fun way to keep fit.

But Bouchard has refused to lose the characteristics that made her one of the best tennis players around.

In a video posted to her Instagram, the ace could be seen playing in a doubles match in front of a crowd.

One opponent got carried away though and slammed the ball point-blank at Bouchard, forcing the tennis icon to wince in fright.

Revenge was not far away though.

Bouchard started landing some tough shots of her own.

And one went flying at her opponent, who is now sure to think twice about serving up another brutal shot against Bouchard in the future.

Fans were quick to react online, with one saying: “First hit would’ve been way out… looked personal.”

Another declared: “Shots fired.”

One noted: “Play well and be honest.”

Another added: “Karma is up a point.”
