Frantic search for missing schoolgirl, 12, last seen in middle of the day in popular seaside town

AN URGENT search is underway for a schoolgirl who disappeared in the middle of the day from a seaside town.

Ruby, 12, was last spotted at around 12.35pm yesterday in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, wearing a black crop top with a navy converse jacket, black jeans with a black and white studded belt, and black shoes.

Police described the schoolgirl as being 5ft 2in tall of a slim to medium build, with black hair and brown eyes.

Ruby was also wearing gold glasses when she vanished, cops added.

In an appeal released this morning, South Wales Police Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan said: “Ruby, aged 12, has been reported as missing. She was last seen around 12.35pm yesterday on Crwys Lane in Barry.

“She is around 5ft2 of a slim to medium build, with black hair and brown eyes.

“She was last seen wearing a black crop top, navy converse jacket, black jeans with a black and white studded belt, and black shoes.

“She was also wearing round gold glasses.”
