POLICE have been slammed for bowing down to an anti-Israel mob at Parliament.

Protesters projected an inflammatory slogan on to the building during a heated debate on a Gaza war ceasefire.

Officers were accused of standing by as the controversial phrase “from the river to the sea” lit up the Commons.

Wednesday night’s pro-Palestine demo came as MPs inside the chamber rowed after Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle let protesters’ threats dictate votes.

Jewish Tory Andrew Percy accused cops of all but ignoring the surge in anti-Semitic abuse since Hamas terrorists attacked Israel in October.

He told MPs: “A genocidal call of ‘from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free’ was projected on to this building.

“This is going to continue happening because we’re not dealing with it.”

Commons Leader Penny Mordaunt said authorities were looking into the projection of the image on to the tower which houses Big Ben.

A spokesman for the Met said of the slogan: “Its use in a wider public protest setting is not a criminal offence.”
