WOKE university chiefs have warned biology students they may be upset by graphic images of the human body.

A life sciences degree booklet contains a notice about “challenging” material despite the students choosing to pursue a career in the field.

Reading University also says the youngsters will have to carry out mock medical examinations on each other — so must obtain consent before touching.

Under a section marked “trigger warnings”, the course booklet highlights “topics that some people may find challenging.”

It adds: “Every week will include potentially graphic images or videos showing the human body, as well as content on specific health conditions or diseases/death.”

And it even goes on to say that those “uncomfortable” with touching others “can either observe or work on their own body”.

Medical experts yesterday hit back at the “staggering” woke provisions – suggesting they could stop youngsters from following their passion for science.

NHS GP Dr Renée Hoenderkamp blasted: “This trigger warning scenario is actually creating the problem they’re trying to avoid.

“Let’s say even one student decides that, because of a trigger warning, they won’t look at pictures or take part in a practical lesson.

“When they do this in real life, after graduating, it only means they’ll be even more shocked.

“Not only does this stop students from getting involved, it will affect their preparedness for whatever career they choose.”

tholl expect to encounter bodies and diseases.

“We think it is fair to students to tell them accurately what they will be studying, and it may be helpful to them as they choose a career.”
