GARETH BALE is set to make a sensational return to the footie pitch this weekend, TWO YEARS after hanging up his boots.

The former Tottenham and Real Madrid star called time on his illustrious career in January 2023.

Bale, 36, has been enjoying retired life and has been passing the time by playing golf.

The retired winger is also a pundit for TNT Sports, having replaced the recently departed Rio Ferdinand.

But the Wales icon is set to dust off his boots this weekend for a charity match.

Bale will play for FC Spear in their charity showdown with Shield United in Seoul, South Korea, on Saturday.

But the Welshman won’t be the only legend on display in the match.

FC Spear will have several other footie legends at their disposal, including Thierry Henry, Kaka, Ronaldinho and Wayne Rooney.

Shield United will also have some famous defensive faces in the shape of Ferdinand, Alessandro Nesta, Carlos Puyol and Nemanja Vidic.

Both teams will have famous managers taking charge of them.

FC Spear will be out for redemption on Saturday after being humbled 4-1 by Shield United in last year’s match.

Bale’s imminent appearance for FC Shield will be his first outing since Wales’ 3-0 loss to England at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
