Girl, 3, ‘hit by car’ and rushed to hospital with air ambulance raced to scene

A THREE-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital after being ploughed down by a car.

The toddler was hit around 9.56am on Tuesday in the Hockley area of Essex.

Emergency services raced to Broadlands Road, including an air ambulance, where they found the youngster with injuries.

She was taken to hospital where her current condition is not yet known.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 9.56am with reports of a collision in Broadlands Road, Hockley.

“We sent Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, an ambulance and an ambulance officer vehicle.

“A three-year-old girl was taken to The Royal London Hospital by land ambulance.”
