A GIRL of nine who was shot in the head in a drive-by shooting has finally left hospital — almost a year on.

She was hit when a gunman on a motorbike opened fire outside a Turkish restaurant in East London in May last year.

A well-placed source told The Sun she had been discharged but it is understood she may never speak or move again.

Three men who were injured as they sat outside left hospital a few days after the attack.

Javon Reily, 32, of Farnborough, Hants, was later arrested and charged with four counts of attempted murder but is not alleged to be the gunman.

Reily pleaded not guilty and will go on trial this summer.

Three more men aged 36, 35 and 28 arrested last month in connection with the shooting were released on bail pending further investigation.

Police say the gunman remains at large.

It is believed the girl was caught in the crossfire of two rival gangs known as the Tottenham Turks and the Hackney Bombacilar, which means bombers in Turkish.

A crime boss linked to the Dalston shooting was arrested in the Turkish port of Izmir last week.

Kemal Armagan was wanted for the murder of rival gangster Izzet Eren, 41, who was shot dead in Moldova capital Chisinau last summer.

Armagan has been linked to two other underworld murders.

The Met Police are continuing to appeal to anyone who may know the gunman’s identity.

Det Chief Insp Ben Dalloway said: “A little girl’s life was traumatically changed on the evening of Wednesday, 29 May.

“The dangerous individual responsible for those life- changing injuries remains on our streets and people out there know who pulled the trigger.”
