A GRAN was prosecuted for breaking eggs during a tiff with her mum.
Alissa Ash, 59, threw the £3 eggs on the kitchen floor during a row with mum Ann-Marie, 89, who called police to calm the spat.

But officers arrested Alissa — and then charged her with criminal damage after she refused to accept a caution.
The case ended up being heard at Guildford magistrates’ court even though Ann-Marie branded it a “waste of time”.
And it wasted at least £1,000 in taxpayers’ money spent on legal and court costs.
The court was told she “damaged a box of eggs at the cost of £3 — with intent”.
During the hearing Alissa spoke only to confirm her name and address and to plead guilty.
Manni Gosal, defending, told the court: “She has expressed remorse for her actions.”
He added that Alissa is “of good character and has never been in trouble before”.
Alissa, of Molesey, Surrey, was given an absolute discharge.
Magistrate James Barber said: “I’m struggling to find any criminality other than breaking a few eggs. I do that every time I make breakfast.”
Surrey Police said: “We have a duty of care to ensure that victims of crime are carefully safeguarded, especially within domestic environments.”
