PABrighton boss Fabian Hurzeler said the club want to see all his options before they decide[/caption]
Clubs are also looking to send out any unwanted stars either by sale or loan.
And such is the case with Brighton’s Evan Ferguson after he was made available to loan.
Ferguson, once tipped as a £100million striker, has been largely left by the wayside this season under Fabian Hurzeler.
He has played just 12 games in all competitions, with only four of these coming as starts, scoring once.
Ankle problems have left the 20-year-old out of action since before Christmas, but the Seagulls have placed the Irish youngster up for a loan move to continue his development.
Clubs from the Premier League, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga are all interested in his signature and have already made contact, according to Fabrizio Romano.
While reports have suggested the likes of relegation-threatened Everton or stuttering West Ham are the frontrunners, fans of top clubs have begged their sides to sign Ferguson on loan.
Taking to social media, one Man Utd fan said: “Bring to Old Trafford.”
A second said: “Heyy Man Utd I say bring.”
Another fan Red Devils fan said: “Get him on loan Man Utd.”
A fourth added: “We should be all over this man.”
A Chelsea fan said: “Dear Chelsea. This one is far better than [Nicolas] Jackson.”
A second Blues fan said: “Ferguson (on a dry loan) would be the perfect short-term solution to our CF needs for the rest of this season; Come on Chelsea, make it happen.”
An Arsenal fan said: “Rather have him for cheap than get [Alexander] Isak for a lot.”
Another said: “A bit injury prone, but [Mikel] Arteta please let’s see what he can do for six months. Much better than no forward this window.”
A third Gooner said: “I’m so upset we have 2 useless loans at the club currently. This is the perfect market opportunity for Arsenal. Won’t have to spend money, can give him a run, and if successful buy him as our future 9. Send Neto back.”
A fourth Arsenal fan said: “Arsenal here is a great market opportunity. Send Raheem Sterling or Neto back and sign Premier League-proven striker Evan Ferguson on loan.”
On Ferguson’s future, Hurzeler said: “It’s always a decision we make together. So, We want to hear his opinion, his thoughts.
“We want to hear also his needs, his wishes and then it is also the club’s side. Then it is about making the right decision together. Honestly, I don’t know yet.”
Ferguson made his Seagulls debut under Graham Potter aged 16 in the League Cup, with debuts at 17 following in the Premier League and FA Cup.
He has scored 17 goals and added five assists in 79 games for the south coast club, with his highlight season coming in 2022/23 when he bagged 16 goals in 34 games.
