A man was treated at the scene for injuries to his arms before being arrested on suspicion of murder, coercive or controlling behaviour and criminal damage.

The 36-year-old remains in custody with officers granted extra time to quiz him.

Joanna’s devastated family have now paid tribute to the “special daughter, auntie, and sister”.

Her sister wrote a heartbreaking poem, saying: “We will love you always sweet angel.

“You didn’t deserve this. I’ll fight for the justice till my last breath. I promise.”

Hampshire Police confirmed they have referred themselves to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) over previous contact.

According to her Facebook page, Joanna was a branch manager at recruitment group CRS.

Tributes have flooded in for the Polish native from friends and colleagues.

Viola Signejeva said: “I am happy to have known Jo not only as a colleague but also as a very good friend.

“She has always been a source of positivity, energy, and enthusiasm. It’s too early for her. Rest in peace, Jo.

“I miss you and send my deepest condolences to your family and friends.”

While Aniya Malkosz added: “I can’t imagine I will never see you again. Nothing will ever be the same without you here… I miss you.

“Goodbye, Sunshine.”
