The masked thugs appear to strike out of nowhere

The toddler attempts to chase after the attackers before brave bystanders drag them away.

Video shows a man, woman and toddler walk to a car in Sidcup.

As they approach the vehicle two men rise from a nearby bench and walk over.

Within seconds one of the attackers punches the man in the head and all hell breaks lose as the second thug piles in.

The victim falls to the floor as he frantically tries to protect himself before the teenage girl tries to drag the attackers off.

In separate footage, she can be heard cursing and screaming at the assailants.

The group end up mauling against a wall as a third goon joins to rain down punches on the man while trying to grab his bag.

Astonishingly the child, who followed the attack across the pavement, chases after the group as he screams in horror.

Luckily an innocent bystander charges over and pulls the child away before the attackers calmly skulk off.

The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation into the 5pm horror which saw all three attackers escape.

“Officers attended and were informed that a teenage girl had been punched in the face.
