The brawl unfolded on Tuesday at around 11.40am and Kyle leapt out of his chair to help.

He sprinted across the road as the attacker, who was wearing a grey hoodie and black jacket, pinned the cop to the ground.

Kyle still had his barber’s cape on as he wrestled with the yob until two further police vehicles pulled up.

The young hero, who was having the back of his shaved in Haron Barber’s, said: “The barber stopped and looking in the mirror for about 10 seconds, then went to the window and started recording.”

He said “it all happened so quickly” but immediately ran to help – because his sister is also a police officer.

“No one is paid enough to be punched in the face unless you’re Conor McGregor,” he added.

The entertaining clip was shared by UK Cop Humour, who captioned the video: “Not all heroes wear capes…but this one does.

“Can we take a moment to applaud this fella, mid-haircut, but dashing out to aid a copper.

“Not enough people like you around. Kyle was keeping an eye on what was going on outside, because his sister is a police officer.

“Upon seeing the single-crewed officer attacked, he dashed out mid-haircut without a thought for his own safety to assist the officer.”

The officer involved in the scuffle suffered a broken finger and bruised ribs.

A 50-year-old man was arrested after the violence.

A Cheshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Officers have thanked a member of the public for his support after an officer was assaulted in Warrington.

“The incident occurred at around 11.40am on Tuesday, December 17 in the Lovely Lane area.

“As the assault was taking place a member of the public from a nearby hairdressers intervened to assist the officer.

“A 50-year-old man was subsequently arrested in relation to the matter.

“He has since been passed to the care of health professionals.”
