Shorsh is said to have been living rough there.

Mr Potoczek narrowly missed touching the live rail on the southbound Victoria Line.

He was helped back up to the platform by other passengers before a train arrived at the station.

Police said he did not suffer any serious injury.

Shorsh was arrested a mile away and yesterday appeared at Westminster magistrates’ court.

He spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on March 4.
